May 2025 Bullet Journal Setup | Colorful Collage, Daily Squares & a Reflective Twist

May always feels like a turning point to me—part spring, part summer. And this month’s bullet journal setup leans right into that energy with warm colors, rainbow washi tape, and a creative spread I haven’t used in years.

What’s Inside My May 2025 Bullet Journal

Cover Page Redo:

I started with one image… and then changed it. Because sometimes you don’t know a cover isn’t quite right until you see it on the page. This floral version ended up feeling much more like May to me.

Intro + Bucket List Spread:

Each month I set aside a page to add a quote, a quick seasonal bucket list, and a photo that captures the month. You’ll also see the return of one of my favorite supplies: rainbow washi tape.

Monthly Calendar:

My go-to layout for important events, birthdays, and memories. (May 5th marks the anniversary of my first date with my husband!) I keep a digital calendar too, but this paper version helps everything stick better.

Weekly Spreads:

The heart of my journal. I use a square-a-day format, with one extra for moments to remember. Every morning starts with tea and a quick entry in the previous day’s square. These pages are my scrapbook, my tracker, my memory keeper—and I love them.

Four weekly bullet journal spreads for April arranged in a grid, each featuring pre-curated magazine clippings, washi tape, handwritten notes, and “Moments to Remember” boxes.

Feature Spread – With a Throwback:

Instead of using this page for goals or projects, I’m bringing back a habit from my very first bullet journal: a reflection page. At the end of the month, I’ll record highlights, growth moments, and anything I want to carry into summer.

Journal Style Tip:

Peekaboo windows (aka washi-taped magazine clippings you can write underneath) are my favorite way to blend collage with journaling space. It keeps things creative and practical.
